Then the game itself

Since we've created the place, why not make it worthwhile?

I'm thinking of a Cave-Story-like platformer shooter 2D game. I'll be the person in charge of coding, and perhaps, Swoon, you will be in charge of spriting.

I'm setting the deadline of the game development until mid-October, so I guess it's time for us to kickstart the thing.

Swoon, I currently need sprites:

Players, one male and one female
Trees and foliage (make it a wide variety)
Clouds and sky
City and rural buildings
More backgrounds

I guess the storyline will pave its way into the game itself.

Please do these as quickly as possible so I can get coding right away. I'll catch up with you as soon as I get the coding considerably far enough.

Alright, the only thing I need to know is what kind of "mood" you're going for with the game so I can start. also I usually work on multiples of 16x16 for sprites. If you want a different size just say so.

Also If you've seen my avatar is that style acceptable?

Your avy looks good. You can put it in the game.

I suggest for a rather gloomy one. The kinda foggy mood. I'm suggesting an apocalyptic storyline.

The basis for character sprites are 32x48. Trees could have an average of 48x72, and the buildings... dunno, just make them look proportional to the character sprites.

I heard the music and gotta say, I'm lovin' the style! and I'll see what I can do with the eyes, btw I posted multiple versions of each design so you could pick one :p, for the fem' I was leaning towards the blue/brown hair. and for the male I like it better w/o spikes but It's your call, I can change anything about them should you want me to. I want the designs to be to everyone's liking before I actually start animating.

If you've noticed, the changes aren't too big, all I did was make them more visible and fix the shading. If they're still not feelin' right feel free to say so.

I like the male protag's first sprite. As for the female protag, either I pick number two or increase more bangs in her cheeks. I dunno. Probably add more bangs.
